SL Tapping Equipment

Powertools has a unique concept that has been very successful around the world for the last 25 years. The concept is based on a weight compensated arm, an air motor and a tapping chuck.

The weight compensation makes the tapping effortless for the user; the weight of the tapping motor (or other tools) is absorbed in the design. The alignment of the tool and the possibility to find a hole easily makes the SL to a potent alternative to hand tools, magnetic drilling machines, pillar drills, and CNC machines. The tapping chuck is designed to stop when the tap reaches the bottom of the hole, and prevents the tap from breaking. We have several models for tapping in all directions. We can also tailor-make an arm for your needs. A lot of our customer uses the SL arms for other than tapping, they work perfectly as tool holders for counter sinking, broaching, burring, honing etc.
